So, what is salvation?

Salvation is a free gift from God. It frees those who receive this gift from the consequences of the fall of man. It was bought and paid for when Jesus gave His life on the cross. We are restored to the relationship God intended when He first created Adam, through faith in Jesus and by accepting His Lordship over our lives.

We are restored to the relationship God intended when He first created Adam, through faith in Jesus and by accepting His Lordship over our lives.

Let's dig deeper

IN THE BEGINNING

God created the heavens, the earth, the day, the night, all the animals, and mankind. Genesis 1 and 2 describe this physical creation in detail. God created the first man from dust and then shared His own breath with him, breathing the "Breath of God" into his nostrils and giving him life.
"Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being." (Genesis 2:7)

THE RESULTS OF SIN AND GOD'S SOLUTION

Adam and Eve's act of disobeying God in the garden separated us from Him. We became spiritually dead and unable to save ourselves. This can translate into a feeling of emptiness or a hunger that cannot be satisfied." The hunger we feel is spiritual hunger. It can only be filled by restoring a relationship with God, our Creator. That restoration comes through faith in Jesus Christ.

"THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR DYING ON THE CROSS FOR ME. I KNOW I AM A SINNER AND I REPENT OF MY SINS. COME INTO MY LIFE AND BE MY LORD AND SAVIOR. TODAY I HAVE BEEN MADE NEW. FROM THIS DAY ON, I WILL FOLLOW YOU. AMEN."

What Is baptism?

Water baptism is a beautiful picture of what our Lord has done for us. As we are completely immersed in the water, we symbolize burial with our Lord. When we are raised out of the water, we are symbolically resurrected—raised to new life in Christ to be with Him forever, born into the family of our loving God.
