a message from the ncc elders

As a church, we continue to navigate through these challenging times by checking our personal fears against the Word of God.  2 Timothy reminds us that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.  God has promised to be our protector, provider, and strong tower. Thank you for your patience and prayers as our number one priority is to please God.  Following that, we must guard the safety of our members and community.

As a team of elders, we have prayed and feel that our approach to reopening should be slow and methodical.

  • On-Site Gathering Days: Stay tuned to the calendar for details and dates.
  • Social Distancing: The sanctuary seating is limited and chairs are distanced to allow for families to sit together while observing social distancing guidelines to keep everyone safe.
  • Temperatures: Taken at the door.
  • Face Coverings: Bring your own, please.
  • Children: No CM3 at this time. Children are welcome to sit with their parents.

If you or others in your household are exhibiting any flu-like symptoms, have had a fever of 100.4 or higher in the past 14 days, or have had prolonged exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not attend NCC on-site gatherings.

As we move forward, we will carefully examine the current data and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom.  We are excited to see those who feel comfortable attending.  PLEASE, do not feel pressured to attend.  We will continue our weekly Sunday Online Experience until further notice, and we know you are “with” us during that time.  Our heart’s desire is to be fully united at both campuses again; however, we are accountable to the Lord for each of you.  Therefore, we are moving forward with intentionality as the Holy Spirit leads.

Please know that we love you and are praying for you every week.  If you need any of us, you may contact the church offices, and we will return your call within 24 hours.

Disclaimer: The best way to prevent infection is to avoid exposure. COVID-19 spreads from person-to-person and can be spread by those who are infected but don't show symptoms. Older adults and those who are immune-compromised should take extreme precautions. If you or anyone in your household are showing any flu-like symptoms, have had a fever of 100.4 or higher in the past 14 days, or have had prolonged exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not attend NCC on-site gatherings. Even though New City Church has implemented mandated precautions to ensure your safety, your attendance constitutes your agreement that you have reviewed the above information and agree that New City Church will not be held responsible for any "positive" testing results or contracting of the disease due to your attendance and that you are attending at your own risk.
